Thanks to my imaginary friend for suggesting a new name for this "blog". That's right, kids, I'm bringin' it on bubble-style!
I suppose I should have something pithy to say here but here are the bald facts: I've had a few drinks, I've just come from seeing a mediocre show (a hazard of my occupation is more than occasionally having to go see good friends in bad theatre) and, to top it all off, Vox doesn't seem to want to play entirely well with my browser.
That's why they call it "beta" (pardon, "preview"), kids.
At all events, here I am. I've been through Friendster, Orkut, LinkedIn, Multiply, MySpace and I'm still here (with apologies to Stephen Sondheim).
Once I've figured out the hows and wherefores of this place, I'll no doubt have more to say. Until then, I say thank you to my friends at Six Apart for the heavy lifting, to Mr. Jacobs for the invite, and to Mena Trott her own self for the upgrade. To the rest of you (and to Mrs. Calabash, wherever she is), I say "Goodnight."
